Large Simmons style Parrot on turned base
This large Simmons style parrot sculpture on turned base is hand carved bass wood and is painted by hand in dark green, orange and yellow paint with avocado and black highlights. The carving on the tail feathers are even separated out on the last three pieces. It is finished with a wood stain and wax.
It has two twisted wire legs attaching it to the base and is signed and dated on underside of the base.
Each of my pieces is one of a kind and is designed and created in the historic Pennsylvania traditional carved sculptural style.
